As we have only just arrived and it is very hot today, popped into the refurbished / new lounge on the ground floor. Too late for afternoon tea, but canapés and beer / wine from 5 until 7pm
The car park here is closing for good from October 1st . The hotel rents the space and it isn't cost effective. Nearest public car park is a few steps away, which is the NCP Greyfriars Road

I must be getting old and miserable 😂
Thanks for the info, I'll be staying there this weekend with the Mrs.
Do they validate the NCP car park price at all, do you know? If not, well, I was parked there yesterday and the rates were shocking really (nearly £6 / hour)...ended up paying just under £18 for 2.5 hours...there's plenty of space (surprisingly

)
Sorry to hear about the TV in the lounge, that would grate on the nerves very quickly indeed...glad she is there now and so I won't have to deal with her for at least 3.95 years? (or is she staying the weekend? Eek! )
Hope the rest of the stay and hotel is good, it will be my first time staying at the Cardiff Hilton, even though it is reasonably close!
Safe travels.
