Spark Atlanta Cumberland Ballpark
This is on me, as I have gotten complacent and expected Hilton’s to provide “Hampton Inn” conditions at a minimum. Was sorely disappointed and would have moved to a HGI (similar rate) if not for the inconvenience of packing up my family.
Stayed at the Spark Atlanta Cumberland Ballpark. Good rate ($109 AAA or HH). Tub was slow to drain but improved after front desk sent maintenance.
The room had two queen beds (nice option) but was tiny. The writing desk was unable to be completely swiveled out from under the desk, as it hit one of the beds. (Only a few feet from the foot of the bed to the wall.) No dresser, little room for luggage or counterspace. A/C had one filter missing, the other was filthy. (I checked and cleaned as the A/C wasn't cooling how I thought it should.) Minimal wall outlets (none on the outsides of the beds - just in the middle.)
Small mini fridge – no microwave. This property doesn’t have a business center (ok) but also no fitness center. They do have an outdoor (covered) pool.
Breakfast was underwhelming and disappointing. Bagels (3 varieties, cream cheese cups and jelly – to call this a “bagel bar” is a joke) and pre-packaged muffins and cereal. OJ and milk. That’s it. No protein, eggs, yogurt, or fruit. Toasters didn’t work at all on the first day, and burned (set off the smoke detector) on day 2.
Overall, it was a clean room, but I would not stay here again.
