Denied mileage request by Sri Lankan

I flew two segments on Sri Lankan in early July, BKK-CMB-RUH. After about 2 weeks of waiting for mileage credit, I sent in a missing miles request. Then yesterday the reply came that Sri Lankan denied the request, saying that the miles were 'Posted to Other FFP.'

This is quite impossible because I entered my Aadvantage number at the time of booking on UL's app. The boarding passes had my AA number and Oneworld status printed on them. I am not a member of Sri Lankan's program. Nor am I a member of most other Oneworld programs, only Qatar and I never use that one or even know the number. So there's no way Sri Lankan could be right and it's just their silly mistake.

I replied to the request denied email but I don't know if they'll even look at that. I wonder if It will help to call the EXP number? It's not a huge number of miles in the grand scheme of things, but every little bit helps.
