On the Lufthansa status match - I decided to give it a go "for science". Mine is an older Eurobonus account with genuine SAS flying this year. I was not immediately rejected as I must have cleared the first hurdle of the automatic cut-off for recent Eurobonus membership numbers. I was asked to supply further info (screenshots of my SAS account) but then after a couple of days was denied on the basis that it came from a status match. I am not sure how they deduced that, but perhaps they do ask SAS. Fair enough anyway.
