I would suggest, though I've never done it myself, something along the lines of taking the overhead walkway from T3 through P3/P4 into T4 and then bolting up the horseshoe curb to the UA premier checkin (which is essentially at the T6/T7 demarcarion point. This would provide a largely smooth, climate controlled surface, with vehicle/pedestrian separation for about 1/2 of the route. But it is also an uncomfortably close connection for me without children or luggage. Admittedly I tend to be pessimistic.

That's an idea. The porters might know shortcuts like this well.
This adds to the up and down time and sometime elevators at airports can be frustrating. If one just walks on the departure level, it is one elevator ride going up after getting the bag.
