You need a Wyndham # to earn points so Barclay has to be able to add your Wyndham number on the card.
Meanwhile this is the BS I am getting from customer service:

Upon review, our records indicate your account was opened on June 28, 2024. Please allow 30 days for our systems to validate and complete the enrollment process with Wyndham Rewards. Any awards that you earned during this time will be captured and sent to Wyndham Rewards once the enrollment process is finalized. We ask for your kind understanding. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have cause."
Of course to no one's surprise nothing happened after magical 30 days. In all my churning carrier I have never dealt with such incompetence from issuer and customer service. I have tried everything - phone, asking for a manager, secure messages. They kept repeating the magic 30 days.
When statement cut, the points magically disappeared into black hole.
Glad I figured to not go for required spend but just did a couple small purchases.
