Should be doable, but it's going to be no fun lugging your bags/kid from T3 -> T7 which involves cutting across the airport on West or East Way which is akin to a public street with sidewalks.
Taking the free Airline Connector Shuttle from T3 -> T7 will save walking, but timing can be unpredictable.

Have a "Plan B" if your arrival is late.
