National doesn't impose no-show fees. They would have to disclose when you make the reservation, which Hertz now does. Speaking of Hertz, they do not require 24 hour cancel, it's prior to scheduled pick-up. If you made a habit of no-showing with National, I suppose you could make their DNR list.
