Even though I live in Chicago have done multiple says at both FS and Pen. Definitely think Pen is a better option and this is coming from someone who is very loyal to the FS Brand. Rooms could use a bit of a refresh but still think they're better than the refreshed FS rooms. They're within a few blocks of one another so location is about the same. The main restaurant Shanghai Terrace inside the Pen is outstanding. Adorn the main restaurant in FS is solid however the vibe is a bit dull and boring. Another plus for the Pen is RL (restaurant inside Ralph Lauren) is right around the corner. Solid American fare.
