Don't ever forget the crew is reading from a script.
Most don't have the wit or skill to ad-lib or customize their public speaking or tailor it to a situation.
For most of them, this feels like a job, not a career in which they take pride in and are attempting to polish their skills.
I sleep better knowing they're primarily there for our safety, thank goodness.
