If you look at your paper/PDF statements, there will be a notice on the statement before the statement on which the renewal fee is billed. (Chase always bills card annual fees on the first day of the month.)

After the fee is billed, you have 30 days to cancel for a full refund. There is a notice on every paper/pdf statement which explains this.
