If the allergen isn’t there then people don’t need to wear PPE. The core point remains: nobody is saying you should clean your tray or hands if you eat nuts and trying to make life harder or putting more processes in place. Simply don’t supply (airlines) or consume (passengers) products in that one environment. It’s not a big deal to not eat that one food product for a few hours.

If the offering was nut free it wouldn’t ruin anyone’s experience.
