I connected via ORD to MKE but my bag didn't make it. Next flight is 6+hrs later. I was driving pretty far away where GRB would be closer and the person filling out the claim said he would tell them to put it on a flight to GRB as it's an earlier flight and shorter drive. I received the claim and see it in the delivery notes. However I wondered if anyone would actually proactively read it or only once it arrives. Similar to PNR notes

Maybe I should have asked him to pickup the phone and call the ord baggage office
