Iberia operated flight booked via BA Avios: delay and downgrade

Hello everyone,
on Friday I was supposed to fly business with Iberia from Miami to Madrid, had booked it via BA Avios. The flight ended up being delayed by more than 10 hours. Instead of a 4.45pm ET departure, the flight lifted off at 2.53am ET. And instead of the flight arriving at 7.45am CET, it arrived in Madrid 5.06pm CET.

When Iberia initially announced an 8 hour delay, I immediately called British Airways to rebook, as that late arrival would not work for us, and we were rebooked in economy on a LEVEL flight departing which left 9.45pm and arrived 1.10pm in Madrid.

What claims could I now make? Could I contact some kind of agency to receive compensation under EU 261 for the delay? In addition, could I contact BA to receive some kind of refund since I had spent the Avios for a business class flight and only ended up flight in economy?

Any input would be appreciated.
