No airline has done a worse job at promoting the benefits of their large overhead bins than AA. Seriously, AA could be promoting how you rarely have to gate check bags across the fleet because most narrowbodies are equipped with the spacebins. What a good ad that would make. Instead, AA acts like they were never installed. On the other hand, UA celebrates their aircraft with the spacebins. I recently was on a UA flight where I was the last to board and the GA said “normally I’d have to check your bag but this aircraft has the large bins!”
