Me and my mom are traveling LAX-IST-BOM in October and we had to book on 2 separate itineraries. We are both booked on economy class. I see seat selection upto 6 hours cost you some $$ but wondering if its free during online checkin or at the airport kiosk or counter? I have flown Turkish many many years ago and didn't know they were so strict with seat selection. Obviously, we both want to sit together on the LAX-IST and IST-BOM legs.
