I recently (in June 2024) got the Citi World Elite AAdvantage Mastercard.

Currently in London and planning to go to Italy next week for a holiday.

I recall something about travel insurance, including car insurance, but am having trouble finding anything online about it that is dated beyond 2023. The online portal is useless, sending me into a circular loop to https://www.cardbenefits.citi.com/ which just prompts me to log into the account portal, which gives me nothing. When I requested T&Cs, I just get a PDF (after a few days' delay) to general financial terms.

Does anyone have current (i.e., July 2024) information on what the nature and extent of car insurance coverage is, whether it will cover the excess on the Italian-mandated CDW etc.?

Trying to figure out whether to use this card or not for my upcoming rental. Calling into the customer service number resulted in a 10+ min wait without reaching an agent, so hoping the forum can help.
