And as it is not domestic you will be have access to the Qantas lounge in the international terminals. SYD lounge is passable, but due an upgrade, and the central area is nicest IMO, although see you will likely be going from MEL (only tried F lounge there but it was very nice).
Note, the AKL lounge is AWFUL! Probably one of the worst airline lounges I’ve been in. If you have third party lounge access (e.g. Priority Pass) then I’d recommend the Strata lounge.
Also, speaking as a Pom(!), the Aussies love QANTAS, it’s their pride and joy 😉, so come on, get the name right 😂
I’ve been in some very ordinary one world business lounges and would regard the AKL lounge as being a fair bit better than some of them eg. BA at Seattle which is a hole.
The F lounge is a dingy cupboard but the business lounge is reasonable size, with a barista coffee cart.
The Strata lounge, EK Lounge and NZ lounge are all better than the QF lounges but if that’s all the OP has access to then it’s fine.
