Quite obviously UA is aiming to unbundle and monetize what we currently enjoy as perks of status or ticketed cabin. The writing is on the wall between the Polaris Plus survey and this one about a super premium credit card. It's only a matter time. With Kirby talking about fares needing to increase (competition will hold UA back from jacking them in into the stratosphere as he'd like) then the only thing left is to pinch and squeeze elsewhere. It's going to be ugly.
