The bank would probably provide you with a document that verifies it's your account. This seems to be a relic or transliteration of the certificado de titularidad that they sometimes ask for when doing banking operations in Spain but I don't think the US has exactly the same thing. The info contained in the certificate is usually just your name and account number anyway. I'd try it without at first.
