Not necessarily. AC and UA both use D gates now. And it's not much farther from D to G than it is from end of E or F to G.
But lets be clear, the
closest gate using my "real accurate powerpoint measurements to Yankee Pier" to G in D is about the same at the END of F and further than any gate in E. And with the sometimes bouncy people movers from F that walk is a lot quicker.
I'll be honest, those distances *are* a lot closer than it feels. Probably because that walk to D seems like forever.
