I've had very similar discussions when flying to BAH and FRA -- and although I never served actively it was always a great discussion -- to this day my favorite flights are with active military -- and I've traded seats many times -- but then again I'm biased.... To get back on topic -- these students were totally abusing the privilege -- I hope they get disciplined for it....
