after careful review of multiple alternatives, I decided to book a 7-night stay at Amanpulo early next year. Despite the recent mixed reviews, I am hopeful Amanpulo will get back on track and also deliver on the soft product. Hard product (beach, diving, kiting etc.) is unparalleld in my opinion. Obviously, this is quite a splurge and I seek to maximise the experience. We booked beach casitas. Are there any "bad" or "better" casitas w/r to location? What else would you recommend to organise in advance or communicate to the GM (food preferences etc.), or can it all be done on the ground?
I also noticed that some reviews mention golf buggys to get around are not complimentary but subject to extra charge by now? That would fit into the picture of profit maximising with Amans, but tough to believe to me.
