Luggage allowances for Mixed cabin

I’m flying from New York (EWR) to Brussels (BRU) via Vienna (VIE) on a single ticket with connecting flights. My itinerary is:

First Segment: EWR to VIE with Austrian Airlines in Premium Economy

Second Segment: VIE to BRU with Brussels Airlines in Economy

I have Star Gold with TK. From my understanding, this allows me to check in 3 pieces of luggage on the first segment and 2 pieces on the second segment.

My question is: Since I’m checking in at EWR, can I check in three pieces of luggage for the entire journey? Or I could only check-in two luggages? Any tips or experiences would be appreciated!

Thanks!
