I recall a couple of years hitting Medallion under the Frequent Flyer program, which I believe was 30k miles in a year then, and making Royal Medallion (60k miles) in the last year of the program. I received my Royal Medallion bag tags about three weeks before the SkyMiles program began and made that status meaningless.
It would be nice to include those miles on my lifetime total, since it would put me over the 3MM threshold. Unfortunately, I think “lifetime” accumulation means the lifetime of the SkyMiles program and not of the customer.
Those miles are already included in your lifetime total. I seem to recall hitting 1MM status within a year or two after they changed the Frequent Flyer program to SkyMiles and that would not have happened that soon without the old miles being counted.
