Slightly different angle - Since all of Delta’s pronouncements on the Million Miler program refer to one’s accumulation prior to this last program update as being tied to MQMs, I am assuming that those of us who flew Delta before the SkyMiles program started in 1995 did not get those previous miles added to our total. I recall a couple of years hitting Medallion under the Frequent Flyer program, which I believe was 30k miles in a year then, and making Royal Medallion (60k miles) in the last year of the program. I received my Royal Medallion bag tags about three weeks before the SkyMiles program began and made that status meaningless.

It would be nice to include those miles on my lifetime total, since it would put me over the 3MM threshold. Unfortunately, I think “lifetime” accumulation means the lifetime of the SkyMiles program and not of the customer.
