My surprise is that people who don't spend much on restaurants on Resy would find the Gold card useful. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I can't imagine it being that common.
Perhaps I misunderstood your previous post but you wrote "If you have trouble spending $50 at a Resy restaurant, does it make sense to have the Gold?", which I took to mean that if one is unable to spend $50 at a Resy restaurant (or in general dine occasionally at Resy restaurants) then it probably doesn't make much sense to hold the Gold card.
Why does the restaurant have to be on Resy to find the Gold card useful? Even if I would dine out often, many/ most of the local eateries here are not listed with Resy but still code as dining for 4x in which case the Gold card is great to use there. I'm sure many cardholders that find the 4x multiplier on dining useful don't necessarily strictly dine at restaurants on Resy.
