SQ coach is a really good product.

in business - J- with a short connection via MNL T1 then maybe a 30% discount at best on the likes of CX /SQ etc.

But problem is that PR often reschedule at short notice leaving a huge connection time in MNL. Even with the new T1 Mabuhay business lounge anything over 3 hours at T1 resembles cruel and unusual punishment.
Their plan was Late june 2025 to Mid july 2025 routing they wanted was JFK/EWR-MNL-PER. Since my mother wanted to avail PR cheap fares on JFK-MNL-PER. Which is broken down into segments PR127 JFK-MNL and then PR223 MNL-PER to avoid the premium competitors expensive fares.
Because she wanted to avoid the premium airlines CX/SQ EWR/JFK-HKG/SIN-PER due to their expensive prices. She did this back on November 29th-December 13th 2022 by buying CX841/143 to PER return trip is CX170/840 tickets. Back then there's no JFK/EWR-PER via MNL option.
Since you mentioned SQ economy on SQ214 does it beat out PR224 PER-MNL and SQ22 Premium Economy winning over PR126 Premium Economy/Fiesta Class? For PR126 MNL-JFK gets both RP-C3501-3508 A359s and RP-C7772-7782 B77Ws. Does the SQ 9V-SGA-SGG fleet win over PR planes used on MNL-JFK or not?
