SO = Significant other. Oddly enough, she doesn't seem to have the same level of appreciation for flying YUL-LIS-CUN instead of YUL-CUN direct. I tried to explain that TP has fully flat beds on their A321s which I have never tried also have never flown TP… and also, I've never flown on an A330-900neo but she did share my enthrallment for the nuances the neo has.

It’s the life one must endure as a plane geek constantly surrounded by people who see flying as a necessary evil to getting somewhere. There are more of us on FT who get what you’re thinking, don’t let the other bring you down.

As someone who necessarily uses pre-clearance to get to the US, I much prefer it to having to go through it on arrival in the US.
