Wonderful stay on points at the Malta Marriott Resort in Balluta Bay, Sliema, one of my favourite spots on the island and one of the best Marriott Hotels in Europe!
As a Titanium member of Bonvoy, at checkin I was given a nice upgrade to a sea view Deluxe room with balcony, large and bright, with confortable bed and huge TV.
Along with that, I was entitled to access the unrivalled MCLUB Lounge on the top floor, with great breakfast in the morning, snacks, minerals and fruit throughout the day and a marvellous Happy Hour every day from 5pm to 7 pm, with a huge selection of hot and cold food, soup, bites, cuts, desserts, wine and spirits.
This is the best Lounge I have ever experienced across Marriott properties in Europe!
The hotel is modern and well designed, it has a lovely pool on the sundeck at 12th floor (now adults only), a spa with indoor pool and sauna, gym, three restaurants and the new Cala Lido area with big pool, garden, its bar and restaurant.
From the hotel you can take many buses for any destination on the island, such as Valletta, Medina and Gozo embarkment.
The personnel is amazing, polite, professional and always smiling.
At the reception cocktail night I met the Hotel Manager and we had a lovely conversation about tourism in Malta and in Italy.
