I'll admit I'm biased towards Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl (maybe), Somerset West, Muizenberg (the latter admittedly not "Winelands" per se). But NW of the N1 really doesn't sound "Cape Winelands" to me.

More power to them. But, if I'm using CPT as my "base" airport. I don't necessarily know that I'd use this place to head out towards Plett, PE, etc. rather than just going back to CPT and flying out of there to wherever is next on my itinerary. But, that's just me.
