It seems some of the A319s have started to do 4+ hour flights again, maybe coinciding with the new interiors. Would be nice to see A320s on transcons when they have the PTVs and get 737s off of them. I think other than a Saturday EWR-SEA turn there aren’t any 320s on transcons.
Here’s another idea, get the 319/320 ETOPS certified and send them on West Coast-Hawaii trips, and stop sending 737s over there.
(I know there are reasons why this isn’t a good idea, just a pipe dream of mine)
Although the Recaro seats on the 319/320 are not comfortable, I find all other features of these planes to be superior to the 737.
