So by simply calling up BA you can get that ticket. Mention that ba.com isn't showing this fare, and they should remove the contact centre fee.

But (a) there is always LGW to JFK and (b) though you may prefer to go via Preclearance, I would not say that T5 (or T2 for that matter) to DUB is going to be a poor experience here, particularly as you will be travelling initially as a Common Travel Area passenger. Security queues aren't much different, and the foot leather usage may well be less in T5 and T2 than LCY, given the DUB usual gates in both terminals. Generally speaking Preclearance adds more time than going through EWR as an international arrival since passengers have to front load the contingency.
Thanks I didn't even know they had a contact centre fee reason never called to book a flight before. I'm considering Newark as last time I was in New York I was in a nice Hotel near Madison Square Gardens and one of the other guests said that Newark was easier to get to then JFK for that part of New York I went Via JFK so not sure how true that is. I didn't realise Preclearance adds time not quite sure what you mean by contingency though.

Google flights uses matrix as its datasource, and also shows BA fares for LCY-DUB-EWR, although when I clicked through to BA.com it showed an error message. You should be able to phone up to book, though, as the fare/route is definitely available.
Thanks for checking as well I defo will give them a ring maybe BA just doesn't want you doing this route prefer you fly from Gatwick or Heathrow now they don't offer direct flights from London City to New York.
