The trial was successful and it’s now being rolled out permanently across the entire network. The idea is the gate teams will have a matrix of how many bags each aircraft can take and once the set amount of bags have been tagged everything after that is hold checked. Seems to work well in my experience.

There’s also a separate trial whereby flights on aircraft with XL overhead lockers will have no bags taken at all. This is running until 30th September.
