Okay, I've now found commentary in the first pages of this thread which seem to endorse 9A and 9L as amongst the best choices. I asked the question before manually reading the thread (there's 94 pages on this thread now and it is not possible to Search for "9L" or "9A").
So it seems I have scored well!
This is indeed a well discussed point. And while I personally prefer the bulkhead window seats, some people still have issues with proximity to the galley/bathrooms and the ensuing light/noise issues involved. If those indeed are an issue, eye mask and noise cancelling headphones are your friends.
