For good eats check out Cooke's cafe behind the Powerscourt Townhouse off Grafton St. Avoca cafe upstairs in the Avoca shop on Suffolk St (bottom of Grafton St) does a great lunch or brunch or afternoon tea.

Peploe's on Stephen's Green is great (especially if you like wine). You can sit up at the bar and order a bowl of fries and a glass of wine (a selection of 25 by the glass!) any time of the day.
