In 2019, 50% of all paid room nights were booked by Bonvoy members and 77% of those member room nights were booked by elites. As of 2023, 61% of all paid room nights are now booked by members but I don't think the updated percentage on the elite number has been publicly disclosed (logically I don't see how it can have decreased). Marriott disclosed in 2023 that 71% of all stays at Marriott Homes & Villas are by those who are Gold Elite or higher (are there even elite benefits for booking that?!).
