Based on my reading of these entry requirements, the answer is no, even if you were connecting to a Deep South America flight in J in MEX. If you were flying a DL domestic flight to another US city where you would connect to a SkyTeam operated deep South America flight in J, then it would have been yes.
- A nonstop transoceanic ticket in First/Business Class on a SkyTeam ®-operated flight;
- A domestic ticket in any class connecting to same-day First/Business Class ticket on an transoceanic SkyTeam-operated flight;

Thanks to you both for clarification. Where did you find those bullet points you posted and are there more ?
Looks like no go for MEX onward to deep SA but also no go for just LAX to MEX in AM J right?
I saw something that said yes for my denial the other night on LAX-MEX as well as someone on here saying yes. However I think what I read that said yes was AI generated.
