Random extra letter in passenger name
I’m not sure what happened, other than DL premium IT in action, but booking a flight for one of my kids today DL added a random letter to my sons name (first middle X last). The ticket was booked using an ecredit and I could not edit the name since it was non-transferable (I didn’t notice the extra letter until after booking).
His SM number is attached to the reservation and the trip shows properly on his account page, it’s just that his name shows that extra letter. I’ve never seen this before but is this something to call in about to correct, or will it not cause issues? Don’t really want to call during meltdown time but will if it’s a risk for issues at flight time.
edit: this is for an international trip, not domestic, if that matters.
