If you are bringing a car, I would not recommend the Sheraton Gateway LAX. Self parking is about a block away, behind the hotel - $24 per day but no in and out privileges - and valet parking is $75. The Westin has much more convenient self parking, IIRC. The schlep between the parking lot and the Sheraton entrance is a pain.

I always have a rental car when in LA so I will avoid the Sheraton for future stays. Hadn't stayed here for about 15 years and didn't remember the parking situation being so bad way back then.
