The next day I woke up early and drove out of Strasbourg at about 6:30. The streets were empty and that made escaping back to Germany for a drive on the B500 pretty easy. This was hands down the best day of my time with the Porsche. For those that don't know, the section of the B500 south of Baden-Baden is especially windy and runs through the black forest national park.

The long straight section is the A5 which included long unregulated speed sections. The highway was sparsely populated and the few cars I encountered kept to the center and right lanes when not absolutely hammering it down. I reached 200 KPH, or 124 MPH in freedom units. Once in Baden-Baden, I made my way south along the B500. For reasons only Google knows, my route left the B500 for a stretch on a smaller road.

For almost the entirety of the drive, I did not encounter a single car or motorcycle. I put the top down, switched the car into sport plus mode and lived out my adolescent dream. It was loud, unnecessary and absolutely a blast.

Once back to Strasbourg, time for a safe arrival drink in the courtyard of Hotel Leonor.
