@Ryansox are you fully versed in Spanish or EU consumer law and therefore aware of OPs rights under law? Especially when one side have cancelled with such short notice?

You might be right that’s there’s no compensation for inconvenience here but the contract should be made whole ie two bedrooms at another hotel, with comparable facilities for the exact same price (if that’s lower than what the OP would otherwise pay on the open market now it’s 7 days out)

In the first instance I would make it clear how much of an inconvenience this is and your plans are fixed and can they find you comparable accommodation elsewhere for a similar cost.

if it was a points booking I would contact Marriott asking exactly the same question.
