My prior understanding was that the shift to lunch was at 9:30AM. For example, UA934--the morning EWR-LHR flight--is at 8:30AM most of the year and is breakfast. But when US & UK daylight saving are briefly out of sync each year, and the flight departs at 9:30AM, it has always been lunch.
