I need some advice. On Saturday morning, we were flying DEN to ATL to CHA. Got delayed, delayed, then cancelled. We stood in line for 4 hours and then were re-booked through Detroit for the next morning. So we got a hotel and dinner and arrived the next morning. We got delayed for 4 hours and knew where this was headed so we bought a flight on Southwest to Nashville, a shuttle to Chattanooga, and an Uber home. Note: Sunday's DEN to DTW to CHA was canceled. I know we can request an eCredit for the Delta return flight that we never used. But how do we go about getting reimbursed for the additional expenses incurred due to the original canceled flight? The hotel and dinner mostly.

Also, our checked baggage never made the trip (was still in Denver as of Monday) and I have requested Delta to send it on to CHA.
