I'm currently Air NZ Gold and I'm looking to move over to Australia. I've currently got Air NZ *G until August 31st 2025 so could be worth flying Qantas to start accruing points.

I'm assuming there's currently no way to transfer status across different alliances?

Also how does the Qantas frequent flyer program compare to Air NZ? E.g. how easy is it on Qantas to Gold equivalent when paired with an Australia Qantas AMEX card? Most of my flights will be Australian domestic or trans-Tasman
