Sorry to not be clear, I was comparing the improvement of quality on PR (which flies the route), to the quality decline of CX.
I haven't noticed substantial movement on either front, apart from the fact that some of PR's newer planes (which, only show up in Guam once in a blue moon) aren't terrible. The quality gap is still just as vast as ever, though.
In any event, so long as PR A321s are the only point of comparison on offer (please, do tell if we're overlooking any), I'll stand by the "UA doesn't face
any competitive pressure to improve its Guam-based 737s" position.
