My only observation which is more personal in nature, is when I'm flying I am keenly aware of the beginning of any circling - and based on the flight track for this flight, I'd have been well aware we were doing the loops over and over. Just from that, I'd have been monitoring flight path on my device and would be aware I was landing elsewhere, and if I were sitting in F (which I normally am) would make a comment to the FA so they were also aware. I don't expect the average pax to be this aware, but I'd like to think most FTers would be.
It's not something I have been doing up to now but certainly would like to. Even though I think of myself as a FTer, I didn't know this strategy for tracking the flight until this thread or that flightaware is whitelisted. Is that how you monitor the flight path on your device without having to connect to WiFi? Or do you have a different approach?
