It doesn't really matter though because the flights are 12 hours apart (i.e. schedule will certainly trump any slight qualitative differences).
The island hopper pops up as an option between the USA and MNL. Was hoping to get a nice seat/ bed on part of that leg.

I don't fly PR, though I would gladly fly them over CX.
