Since COVID/Ed Bastian’s takeover, the airline seems to perform in line with peers, and now appears to be collapsing on par with Southwest’s holiday meltdown.
What happened?
The good veteran employees took the COVID retirement package and were replaced by subpar employees who weren’t trained like their predecessors. The new hires have been preached hubris by upper level DL management, so they feel they are world beaters when they are far from it.
