Never transited Canada; on the other hand MUC is likely a better transit than FRA. (This is in mid-fall, so not too concerned re: weather.)
ORD-MUC is now operated by an Alegris equipped plane, so it has the latest PE seat of Lufthansa (cradle seat). If you aim for that make sure to choose the late departure as the early one is still on an old A346...
