I'm more interested in moving across to DM for the 'soft' benefits, my OWE recognition on Cathay as a Qantas frequent flyer is already exceptional and they always go above and beyond. It just seems to make sense for me to credit all my Cathay (and Oneworld) flying to Cathay instead of back to Qantas given I only ever fly them if there is absolutely no other option, and most of the time am on Cathay, JAL or Qatar metal.
